Writely is here, so long MS Office.
I have been patiently waiting for this incredible service to become available to the general public and today I was not disappointed.

Writely is essentially MS Word on the Internet, it allows you to create new documents and import existing documents from your hard disk.
It provides you with a slick interface for editing the contents of your document including all the standard icons for formatting the text.

But the part where this app excels is in allowing you to collaborate with others on a document and post it to various blogging engines.

This is the way of the future

Browser Compliance

Microsoft has a very bad reputation for ignoring such trivialities like web standards. Just to prove how terrible the new IE7 really is, take a look at the output from the web standards project. There they have a test you can get your browser to perform at http://www.webstandards.org/action/acid2/
